Ensuring drivers have access to secure locations to rest directly influences how refreshed and alert they feel on the road. A survey conducted over two years with more than 13,000 HGV drivers sheds light on this critical issue, revealing that the quality and security of rest facilities are key factors in drivers' ability to rest properly. Security plays a significant role: about 90% of drivers who deemed vehicle security as “good” felt they were able to rest effectively, whereas fewer than 40% who rated security as “poor” reported adequate rest.
