What makes a guide ready

A guide needs a clear answer, usable steps, sources for material factual claims, the relevant country or route scope, and a recorded acceptance of that exact version. The first twelve pilot guides require acceptance by the project owner before publication.

Authorship and research assistance

We use GetTransport Editorial when work is prepared collectively. A personal byline requires confirmation of that person's involvement and identity. We do not invent professional experience, credentials, affiliations or cases. Research and drafting may use software and AI assistance; a generated answer or automated score does not establish that a fact is true.

Sources and conflicting information

We prefer official rules, government guidance and the relevant provider's documentation. We explain the claim a source supports and its jurisdiction. Where facts conflict or cannot be confirmed, we identify the uncertainty or hold the material back.

Publication, updates and review

Saving a draft does not change the public article. Publication uses an accepted version. The publication date records its first release; the update date records a material content change. A source check with no content change is recorded separately.

Review intervals are 30 days for changing prices or restrictions, 90 days for documents and insurance, and 180 days for stable preparation guidance. Deadlines are not automatically extended. Translation checks must match the current source version.

Images and examples

Photos need appropriate usage rights, relevant captions and alt text. Our AI-assisted illustrations are labelled and explain a topic rather than documenting a real shipment. We record their prompts and project assets. Card crops may show only part of an illustration. Educational examples are labelled. Real case studies require supporting evidence.

Commercial links

GetTransport publishes this journal and provides a transport platform. Links to the platform are identified in context. Coverage in an article does not imply affiliation with, accreditation by or endorsement from a third party.

Corrections

Report a correction with the page URL, the disputed claim and a supporting source. We assess the evidence before changing the article or its dates.
